For over 28 years, ShihTzuRescue.Org of Davie Florida has provided a safe haven for dogs voluntarily surrendered by their owners. Shih Tzu Rescue, Inc. is a NO-KILL 501 c 3 Public Charity Shelter/Sanctuary, where dogs are welcome in our shelter until they are adopted into forever homes. Here they are given a safe place to heal and the love, medical care and nurturing needed to help overcome the trauma of abandonment, loss, abuse or neglect. Dogs that are not adopted because of age, medical condition or temperament remain in our care for life.

2023 was a difficult year for the shelter; inflation forced us to spend far beyond our means, every cost heightened. 2024 will probably be worse.
